When Chet and Ryan were getting ready in the bathroom, Chet noticed some of Katelynn Cusanelli's hair in the sink. This irritated him. It was a period of time when the guys were very upset with the girls because of their supposed lack of cleanliness. So, despite it being Sunday, Chet showed his usual lack of love, charity or forbearance and proceeded to bad mouth Katelynn. Trying to be as cutting as possible, he referred to Katelynn as "he" and encouraged Ryan to do so likewise.
Not surprisingly, Chet used the situation as another excuse for suggesting that all of the boys shave off their pubic hair. This time, he said they could then put the hair on Katelynn's pillow as retaliation.
Chet then informed Ryan that Katelynn was also going to church. This greatly surprised Ryan. From conversations he had had with Katelynn, he had found out that she was no longer a believer. Ryan remarked hopefully that Katelynn was trying to regain her faith.
For Chet, he was wondering why someone who didn't believe in Christianity would be going to church. Apparently, he hadn't learned any convincing reasons to persuade people while he was a missionary in Portugal for two years.
As Ryan was grooming himself, it was interesting to see his technique. He dressed in his brown, Sunday go-to-meeting suit, with tie, and then after that applied his facial wash. The steps in the process didn't quite seem to be in the right order. He also wore a knit cap while washing, but that was practical as it was a good means to keep his bangs off his forehead while cleaning it. With a clean face, Ryan would normally then apply his fake handlebar mustache and be ready to go, but given that he was to be a guest at a worship service he forewent it.
