Ryan Conklin And Fish

Ryan ConklinWhile Ryan Conklin was doing The Real World Brooklyn, he and the other cast members took a trip down to Coney Island. Ryan enjoyed doing some of the games there, although it was his boy pal Chet Cannon that seemed to excel at a number of the games that required physical skill. On one of the games, Chet actually won a pair of goldfish in a plastic bag. Not known for being a caring, nurturing person, Chet wanted to ditch them as soon as he got home.

Ryan joked that Chet should put them in them toilet and let them swim around for a while, but Devyn Simone overhead this and adamantly nixed the idea. Chet then got the idea of putting them in the coffee pot as a prank on Sarah, who was a coffee drinker. Ryan thought that was funny. It didn't bother him, because he doesn't drink coffee.

While Chet prepared the coffee pot and got the fish ready for their new home, Ryan made sure that Chet did it right so that the fish would not be hurt. Even though Ryan likes to fish, he doesn't want see anything, even a little goldfish, needlessly suffer.

The fish were in the pot for several days, but one and then the other died during that time. Baya Voce discovered the last one floating in the pot and whimpered at the sight. Ryan as the man took it upon himself to dispose of the body. He poured the water into the sink and then grabbed the fish with his bare hand and carried it to the toilet.

Baya was content at first to see Ryan take care of the matter, but when she saw him carrying the fish she got grossed out. Butch Ryan told her it was just a goldfish, as he carried the rotting dead animal remains to the bathroom. He tossed it in the loo, gave it a good flush and commanded the fish to return to Coney Island. Unfortunately that Nemo was never going to be found again by anyone.

Having taken care of business, Ryan nonchalantly returned to the kitchen and asked if anyone would like some coffee. Ryan reigns as the hero of both foreign and domestic disorder.
