Ryan Conklin wasn't in a fraternity, but he could fit well into one. Besides his sense of brotherhood, he also enjoys the pranks and guy humor that are rife in fraternities. He showed how much fun he had with the other men of The Real World Brooklyn, who together had a little sort of fraternity all their own. In fraternities, one of the ways that members pass the time is to make a lot of comments that are of a sexual nature. As would be expected, a lot of them are about women, their body parts, and their ability to perform certain physical feats. There is also plenty of derisive comments poking fun at each other's perceived shortcomings or lack of prowess. What is perhaps less known is that guys do take notice of other guys' good physical attributes, even though though they have difficulty with verbalizing their recognition.
Guys in fraternities see a lot of each other, as in see each other all over, and with a large number living together they have a good base for comparison and can tell who has the best whatever. From that they have some kind of compulsion to express their recognition but always with humor to neutralize any mistaken sense of orientation that may come from such admiration.
Of the RW guys, the most notable physical characteristics were Scott Herman's abs and backside, and JD Ordonez' package.
Chett Cannon was intrigued by Scott's abs and more than once took the opportunity to look at them. Apparently, he also felt that Scott's backside was worthy of viewing as well. Once when Scott and Ryan were playing pool, Chet yanked down Scott's shorts just as Scott was making a shot. Scott was surprised by Chet's forwardness (although Scott was still able to make a successful shot) and told Chet if he wanted to see it so bad that Scott would put it on his face while he was sleeping. He added that he would give Chet a "Trojan helmet". You can look it up on Urban Dictionary, but suffice it to say, it's something that not everyone would necessarily appreciate as a good thing.
For JD, Ryan gave some recognition. JD was in his underwear in the bathroom and was a little tipsy (surprise). Ryan went up to him and while pointing at JD's crotch, asked JD to give him back the sock he had lent him. JD played along and reached into his underwear as if to take out the pair of extra large tube socks that would be necessary to make that kind of bulge. The two guys smiled at each other and JD walked away. It turned out to be a prank on Sarah Rice who was also in the bathroom. She believed that JD might actually be sporting a sock since Ryan had indicated that he was. She finally saw that Ryan was just making a guy joke that acknowledged JD's superiority in that area.
