Ryan Accomplishes His Mission

Ryan ConklinOn the morning that Ryan Conklin and the rest of the cast were planning to travel to Gettysburg to support the Braking The Cycle event, Ryan took it upon himself to make sure that everyone was up early and ready to go. He had set an itinerary for the group to do some sightseeing of his hometown, and he wanted to make sure that they made it on time for their first adventure, which was a tour bus ride that would show them the major locations in the area.

Ryan loves his hometown and is a big history buff, so he thought this would be a good way to show off what his little burg had to offer. He didn't want his cast mates to miss the scheduled start of the tour.

Ryan and the boys were up early but the girls were laying around, sawing wood, when they should have been up getting ready. Concerned, Ryan decided that extreme measures were necessary to get the lead out. He got a pan and marched into Katelynn Cusanelli and Devyn Simone's room, loudly banging away on it to convey the request for them to rise and shine.

Ryan did the march step that he first learned in marching band back in high school. His banging, though rhythmic, did not reflect any particular tune, although it did have a nice military air to it.

Unfortunately, Katelynn was not altogether pleased by the method of notification, and she chased Ryan around the room until he fled for safety. Then across the hall Ryan let his alarm clock go off to provide some remote aural stimulus to keep the girls awake.

Egged on by Devyn, Katelynn went into Ryan's room and took the alarm clock. She returned to her room and tossed the offending instrument out of the window.

Ryan tried not to let it get him down, but the loss of the $20 alarm clock was meaningful to him because his family is of modest means and $20 is real money to them. He retrieved the mangled remains of his once faithful attendant, and released his grief and the pieces into an appropriate receptacle.

By this time the girls were definitely awake. Though suffering personal loss, Ryan was able to proudly appreciate "mission accomplished".
