The RW Cast Analyzes Ryan

Ryan ConklinWhen asked to tell what they thought about Ryan Conklin, here is what some of the cast of The Real World Brooklyn said:

Scott Herman
What I like best about Ryan is that he is an amazing guy to hang out with, and he has a lot of qualities that you wouldn't really know unless you got to know him. For example, he's a very talented musician, he's a talented actor, he's a talented director, he's a talented artist, he's a talented historian, he's talented singer. There's a lot of things about him that you really wouldn't get to see until you got to meet him, you know, and that's hard to find and on top of that he's a great guy.

Baya Voce
Ryan's a character. For me, it was really easy to relate to Ryan because I grew up in Salt Lake with kids who were exactly like him. They sort of have the same sense of humor. I wish he would have heard my side of the story more. There's a part of me that felt like I would do something and apologize and really mean that from the bottom of my heart and he would never really take that. So, I wish he would understand my side sometimes.

Chet Cannon
Ryan's my best friend in the house. Absolutely. There's really nothing negative about him other than the time he showed me his penis. And I don't know, was I infatuated? No. Just kidding. Ryan, he's always there for you. Ryan and I, you know, when we go to bed we really like to giggle together and we just really have a good time. I can't really say it, but he's a man after my own heart and that's why I have always loved Ryan. One thing, I do think he has a bit of a temper, and he doesn't want to let you know that at first, but it came out once. At least in my direction. We never... we had one fight. That's it. Ryan and I have a very stable bromance and one that's going to excel probably beyond this realm of reality TV.

Devyn Simone
I really respect Ryan because he has gone overseas and fought in a war that I don't know I would ever be brave or courageous enough to be a part of. So I really value him for that. I definitely think that he should invest in perhaps a psychiatrist or a therapist. I think speaking out about your feelings instead of yelling at people or twirling knives or, you know, all these other issues, would be helpful in his growth. But I wish him all the best and pray that he's safe, you know, in all of his endeavors. I do think he's very talented, I just think he's a little bit... [Devyn uses her finger to point to her head and give the sign of someone being cuckoo.]

Sarah Rice
You know Ryan is a very... I do think he has a lot to him. He's a very deep person. It just takes him a long time to really come out of his shell. I think he grew up in a place where he was a little more sheltered and wasn't exposed to that many things that were different and outside, you know, of the small town that he knew. And he's smart, like where a lot of the rest of us are open with our personalities and very big with everything, Ryan kind of, he holds everything back. Which, you know, is smart. It's the best thing to do sometime. I felt like throughout, Ryan had made assumptions about my character, I think, like my personality, and who I was, and once he made those assumptions, no matter what I did to, throughout the entire thing, not to necessarily prove him wrong, but to show him the person that I really am, his mind was never changed. You know, I consider myself a friend of Ryan's, totally. I consider him one of my friends. I can't say to this day that he would say the same about me.
