Chet admiringly talked about the angle of the penis in the drawing. His roommates advised him that a significant angular deviation was unusual, but Chet insisted that it was normal. Chet's pal Ryan Conklin overheard what Chet was saying and told him that "It's supposed to be straight, dude. It's supposed to be a straight arrow."
Chet continued to assert his belief in angles, and to corroborate this, he referred to the penis other than his own that he had studied in the house. Chet said, "Ryan. I know for one, 'hangs a louie' (i.e. points to the left). Ryan's crooked little weiner..."
At this point, Ryan, aghast that his roommate was admitting that he had been checking out Ryan's penis and that it was even being discussed in open conversation, adamantly stated, "You have never seen it. Chet, you have never seen it. Gross."
The other roommates became uncomfortable with the conversation as well and Sarah Rice implored, "I don't want to talk about this. Can't we talk about ponies?"
Chet went back to the phone room to retrieve his drawing, but in looking through the log book he found that it had been removed. He then walked through the house shouting, "Hey, somebody stole a piece of artwork from the phone room!"
Katelynn Cusanelli said to Chet, indisputably, "There's something wrong with you." Ryan added, "Stop drawing pictures of things you want!" But with some attempt at being understanding, Ryan also said, "Maybe you were making wish lists of things you want."
To ease the discomfort that the whole affair had caused the house, Ryan tried to make light of it, by comparing the drawing to a corn dog that he was about to heat up for himself. He asked Chet if he would like one also. Ryan encouraged Chet to take one, as it was "very phallic" and "your favorite kind of shape". and so that it might appease Chet's urges for a time.
